Monarch opened mid December 2012. We began our support of their social media on January 1 of this year, when they had 418 Facebook likes. That many, that early is extremely impressive for our region, especially for organic/non strategic posting. From their high-potential springy EdgeRank reach, we grew them by nearly 200 likes. In less than 1 week. Without ads, schemes, or even physical calls to action at the location.
Our tactic was to engage their aesthetically inclined customers through the creation of strong brand-building graphics. Knowing that a much larger selection of likers see posts with images, it's an obvious and essential part of any social strategy.
As of March 11th, we're at 920 Facebook likes. The most exciting part is that the page is experiencing an extremely high rate of interaction and connectivity-- rather than a vast number of empty likes (some of which are important, as they establish business credibility and to a small degree SEO), customers are experiencing many repeated impressions.
Through naturally identifying with the target audience (25-40 men and women) and building on the owner's strong social presence we were able to create a page that excited users through contests, FB exclusives, and fun photos of customers in the establishment.
